A key aspect of what Scouting promises is to provide experiences and duties that will help Scouts mature into strong, wise adults. One of the Troop's primary goals is to provide real leadership opportunities for all Scouts active in the troop. The Youth Leaders of the Troop hold six month leadership terms. The elected positions of the Troop are Senior Patrol and Patrol Leader. All other leadership positions are appointed by the elected leaders under the mentorship of the Scoutmaster. THE SENIOR PATROL LEADER The Senior Patrol Leader leads the entire Troop and chairs the Patrol Leader Council. The newly elected Senior Patro Leader also appoints an Assistant Senior Patrol Leader who leads the Cabinet. THE PATROL LEADER COUNCIL The Patrol Leader Council or PLC is the representative organization (like Congress) that is the decision making body of the Troop. The Patrol Leader Council is made up of the Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders. PATROL ELECTIONS Each Patrol elects a Patrol Leader.
