Troop 42 has 84 years of history in Lake Bluff. Through this time, the Grace United Methodist Church of Lake Bluff has been our Charter Sponsor. Troop 42 strives to provide the highest quality program and experiences for young men. The Scouts in Troop 42 are an extremely diverse and admirable group of young men. True to the Boy Scout principles, the Troop is a Boy Led organization under the leadership of the Senior Patrol Leader and the Patrol Leader Council.
The Adult Leaders and Committee members recognize all of the changes and challenges that the Scouts are experiencing in their 11th through 18th years of life. The Scoutmasters provide a mentored atmosphere that allows for each individual Scout's needs and future growth. The Troop Committee supports the efforts of the Scoutmasters and Youth Leaders while maintaining the continued excellence of Troop 42.
